Where and when is League of Legends worlds 2022 taking place?

This year's event will be played on the continent where League of Legends originated - North America. Most of the matches will take place in the USA, but not all. The play-in phase will be played in Mexico's capital Mexico City.

As usual, this year's entire event will be divided into five stages; Play-ins Groups, Quaterfinals, Semifinals and, of course, Finals. Below you will find a list of venues and dates, playing the various phases of the tournament:

• The play-ins phase will begin on September 29 and end on October 4. The games will be played in Mexico City, Mexico at the Arena Esports Stadium at Artz Pedregal.
• Group phase - October 7-10 and October 13-16. Players will compete at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
• Semifinals - October 29-30 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
• Finals - November 5 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

At worlds League of Legends 2022, 24 top teams from around the world will face each other. Unfortunately, due to the world situation, this year LCL will not be able to send its representatives to the event. Their place has been taken by the region that has had the best results in the last two years on the international stage, but does not yet have four slots; Europe.

Worlds League of Legends 2022 Play-in

As we wrote above - the first stage of worlds 2022 is the play-ins phase. The 12 teams that took the lowest places in the regional leagues during the season get into it. So before we see a battle in the groups to see who will lift the cup first some people have to get into those groups. Only four teams from the play-ins phase will move on to the group stage of the main tournament!
