This popular shooter in the world of a weird zombie apocalypse is one of Epic Games' most popular titles… so it’s no surprise that it has various crossovers like with Marvel and DC. Thus, Fortnite features not only Batman, John Wick and Thor, but also iconic anime characters – such as Ryu and Chun Li from the Street Fighter universe, as well as unlockable skins featuring characters from the iconic anime series Naruto. Did you expect Anime Legends in Fortnite?
Naruto, Hinata, Kakashi and other characters from this popular manga and anime series were recently introduced into Epic Games Battle Royale game and are now available for purchase as new skins for V-dollars in the item store. There were rumors that after collaborating with DC and Marvel, Fortnite would collaborate with the cult magazine Jump, where characters from Naruto, One Piece or Dragonball made their debut. That's why many people got very excited about the announcement of the Anime Legends package.
Fortnite Anime Legends Pack: Release date
Fortnite's “Anime Legends” pack, which will cost $20 and equip some of the popular characters with cel-shading style skins, was unveiled by Epic and will be released in October 2022–October 14 in physical stores and October 22 online. The set includes three clothes, three picks and three backpacks which will most likely demonstrate the new anime shader effects.
There have been rumors among fans that Fortnite may do a crossover with Dragon Ball. After all, Naruto, Sasuke and the rest of the ninjas have joined the fight on the Island for quite some time. Fortnite also started playing with Sailor-Moon-inspired costumes; it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that the “Legends of Anime Pack” would include the original anime skins. However, this is not the case.
No anime characters in Fortnite Anime Legends pack?
Many fans think Epic were planning another crossover with DBZ, Naruto and possibly One Piece costumes – but they haven't managed to finalize all the legal issues yet. For now, however, they have created cel-shaded skins to get practiced before this event. Fans hope that the iconic anime characters will eventually make their way into the game.
Characters in Fortnite Anime Legends Pack
So what are all skins & price in Fortnite Anime Legends Pack? The three skins are Midas, Rox and Penny. In addition, buyers of the set will receive a Lil' Kart emote to demonstrate their prowess while driving the little go-kart.
Midas
The dark villain Midas is the first character of the set. Wearing a Red Skull helmet (which he can also carry as a backpack) and a Golden Gear suit, Midas is decked out in a gold motorcycle jacket, somewhat reminiscent of Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes. As befits the real Midas, his anime version now uses a 24-karat katana.
Rox
In Fortnite Anime Legends Pack, the elegant Rox becomes a teenage heroine, somewhat styled as a magical girl—with a technological twist! Ricochet Rox's black sweatshirt still has a strawberry pattern. This technological heroine now has a strawberry robot Whirlberry on her back with a smiling face. Her beautiful laser sword, Blazeberry Blade, has a turquoise handle.
Penny
The lovely Penny is the center of the entire set. Ready Penny wears black pants and a leather jacket, somewhat resembling a character from anime classics like Fooly Cooly. Accessories include a sleek little backpack with patches, badges, and a gun holster—Back Bling Little Black Bag. And what better match for a small backpack than a big sharp pickaxe called Glimmering Edge.
When will the bundle arrive?
So once again—what’s the Fortnite Anime Legends Pack release date? Epic games once again will distribute the pack physically and digitally. On October 14, video game stores will deliver physical copies to platforms like PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The digital edition - including for PC - will arrive on Oct. 22 at the Epic Games Store and other online retailers.
