All book-worms and paper books fans – we have great information for you! World of games is transferred onto paper, and we have something new to read during Autumn evenings. If you are a gamer and fantasy fan, it’s something you can’t miss. So prepare your favourite blanket, some hot chocolate and scented candle and find out why you should read the Ruination!
“Ruination” – first novel in League of Legends universe
The book describes the history that takes place a thousand years before “Ruined King” and “Sentinels of Light”.
The novel is mainly about Kalista. We know her from the game – she is a specter, a spirit, murdered by a trick. She suggests a deal to residents of Runeterra: if they give their souls to The Spear of Vengeance, they will be avenged. You can play this character mostly as ADC – Attack Damage Carry in double avenue, however players increasingly choose her playing on the top.
We get to know the story from the perspective of Kalista, but also Viego and Thresh. We also know that in this novel Hecarim, Soraka, Isolde and Ryze are starring.
Book has been written by Anthony Reynolds – an Australian who likes to play PC games including League of Legends and board games, but also loves fantasy and sci-fi movies and books. Such an experience leads him to write the first novella in the universe League of Legends on the world.
“Ruination” consists of 448 pages, on the cover we can see the Blade of the Ruined King and silhouette of Kalista. Inside the book there are also illustrations and the map.

What is this book about? More facts about the plot of “Ruination”
The action takes place in Camavor. This is a rich in violence empire that lies to the east of Runeterra. The empire was recently ruled by Kalista’s uncle – Viego. The woman sensed an opportunity to change the fates of Camavor and end the bloody violence for good, being a trusted confidant of her uncle on the throne.
Unfortunately, Viego’s wife, Isolde, is irreversibly ill by the poisoned wound, and this situation leads him to madness. His fury and loss of his mind is really destructive for Camavor. That’s why brave Kalista goes on an expedition to find the Blessed Isles. She hopes to find the cure for Isolde.
Things gets really complicated upon arrival at the destination. Blessed Isles are mired in corruption. Kalista starts to getting involved in dirty games by watchman she found there - Thresh. It turns out he was vengeful and cunning. These circumstances forced the woman to make a choice. She will do something in harmony with herself, or she will remain faithful to Viego... what she will do? In a world full of darkness, even one brave and noble act may reverse the situation...
Audiobook
At the beginning, we said that it’s good news for those who like to read paper books. And that’s true, but if you'd rather listen to this story, there is an audiobook version too.
What’s most interesting, the audio version is narrated by actors from League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra (voice, of course). This is a good solution if you often ride public transport, car, or can listen to things in your work.
Who is the author of the novel?
Who wrote this tale? As we said, Anthony Reynolds is an Australian from Sidney. He started to play the League of Legends as Shaco in season 2, whereas in 2014 he joined Riot Games. He worked in a team associated with champions and was a leader of Builders. He is a plot – creator, writer and generally really creative person. We can be sure, he knows the universe League of
Legends very well. He has a wife, daughter and son, and a cat named Thor.
Premiere – when?
Premiere of the Ruination: A League of Legends was September the 6th 2022.
The announcement of this novel may suggest to us that there will be more books based on the universe League of Legends. That’s why we are waiting for another story to tell!

Is a new novella worth to buy?
We think that it’s worth it to buy and read “Ruination”. Why? Here are some reasons collected in points:
- the plot seems to be interesting,
- we can better know champions we play in LoL,
- it is a springboard for an Autumn evening,
- nicely delivered, will look good in book collection,
- reading is important.
Based on these benefits, there is nothing else for us to do but to get acquainted with the novel.

It is a known fact that a higher rank means higher prestige for the player, satisfaction with his game, and additional rewards. That's why you must read our list of best mid lane champions!
The best champions for mid in season 12
Do you want to become better mid laners? Then play with the best mid lane champions! In this article, you will learn everything you need to know about the best mid lane champions that you can currently play on the mid lane. In addition, at the end of the article, we will list a few that you definitely better not move before they get some buffs.

1 - Vex
Let's start our list with the champion that is by far the strongest at this point in the entire league of Legends. Despite its relatively weak linear phase, when you match it with the right runes, the problem will be abandoned. Scorch should provide you with enough help against Yasuo, Katarina, or other champions' strong lines. After building a mythic item, Vex is a real best mid lane champion!
Since being added to the game, Vex has been one of the best mid lane champions, and after the reinforcements from recent patches, it's even better. There are not many match-ups that Vex will lose. Don't be afraid to take trades, but be careful about mana levels. Vex is very dependent on it
Find out all about skins in League of Legends and how to get them for free!
2 - Zed
Despite the not so good situation of AD assassins in League of Legends in patch 12.17, zed is one of the best mid lane champions. In patch 12.15 he got small reinforcements, which, however, put him in the state of a veritable beast! Plan Zed into your pool of possible champions to play. However, you must also have other picks prepared to replace Zed. You will probably ask why? It's simple - Zed has a ban rate of over 40%!
Zed amazingly rewards players who have mastered it to perfection. However, just like Vex, or perhaps even to a greater extent than her - Zed is difficult to master. His shadow mechanics are one of the hardest to master in the entire game, don't be afraid to look for tutorials on the internet, it's not a bad thing. Once you have mastered Zed his abilities are amazing, you can kill enemies with impunity even under their turrets!
Here's a list of the best Sylas players in League of Legends.
3 - Viktor
The most popular champions type for the middle lane in season 12 are mages. They owe their great position to their abilities in team fights, high damage, and the lack of good counters for them. Items for assassins are mostly weaker than those for mages, so the early phase of the game, which was previously very hard for mages, is now relatively quiet.
One of the best mages to unleash as the game progresses is Viktor. He is a monster in the late phase of the game, you can kill even the most persistent opponent in a second. In addition, he has CC and AOE, which increase his usefulness in team fights.
Its disadvantages are similar to those we mentioned in Vex, it is relatively hard to control, plus without mana, it won't do anything. Try to build items that will increase your mana level and choose runes that will help you with this. For the first 15 minutes, trying to play defensively and focus on farming, then you and your jungler can look for kills in the first team fights.
4 - Signed
This is the last and by far the most unusual champion on our best mid lane champions list. Singed usually reigns supreme in the top lane, but players have found a use for him here as well - in the mid lane. His win rate reached up to 56%!
Just like any so-called "off-meta pick", signed on the mid is not the same as other champions in the game. His game plan is not based on dominating the opponent in the middle lane, definitely a choice for those who love to help others. His advantage is an easy-to-learn skill set that any player, even an inexperienced one, will understand. However, the downside is a damage - playing singed, you will definitely not be able to kill the opposing mid laner.
That is why your main rune is a predator. You need to run down other lines as fast as possible and help them as often as possible. Build items that will help you do this. In team fights, you will take damage more often than you inflict it, so make sure you are tough enough. Always try to get to the opposing carry and put it out of play.
How do you rank up in League of Legends the fastest? Check it out!

Udyr’s abilities rework – what is new?
Using a specific skill is hidden under a specific key – P, Q, W, E and R. We pay attention which key activates the given skill – hence the first letters in the list below. Here is all about an Udyr rework:
- P – Awakened Spirit: four basic abilities associated with Freljord’s gods: among others Volibear, Ornn and Anivia. In every 30 seconds he can awake his active ability, refreshing it during cooldown. It gives bonus effects. Monk Training: After using an ability, two next Udyr’s attacks gives 30% bonus speed, and also gain 5% of Awaken’s cooldown on hit.
- Q – Wilding Stance: two next Udyr’s attacks cause explosive damage. Also gains a bigger speed of attack – 25%. Awaken: increased bonus speed of attack, and two more attacks have effects of forked lightning. It can bounce around enemies even six times.
- W – Mantle Stance: Udyr has a shield, and two next attacks renew his health points. Awaken: Refreshing shield and it can accumulate. Renew a big amount of health points in two seconds.
- E – Stampede Stance: 30% bonus speed. First attack will stun the target. Awaken: Bigger speed of motion, resistance for crowd control effect for a while.
- R – Storm Stance: Udyr invokes glacial storm. Next two attacks will increase coverage of the storm. Glacial storm will slow down the enemies by about 15% and hurt them. Awaken: Storm is no longer close to Udyr: it follows the enemy it hurts last.

Whether this information will make you want to play reworked Udyr now? We are sure – yes!

The European e-sports scene has churned out many talented gamers, but few can boast such a long tenure at the professional level as Jankos. Read about the story of Europe's best Jungler - Jankos!
History of Jankos
Although Jankos is currently known around the world if only for his phenomenal performances at worlds, his career has not always been strewn with victories alone.
Although Jankos has been a regular G2 esports player for several years now, he started in Polish teams whose level was much lower than the one we see in LEC. To understand how good a player Jankos is, we need to discuss his entire history from the very beginning.
Check out the best champions to play Jungle in season 12.

The beginnings in the League of legends of Europe's best jungler League of Legends
Jankos began his adventure with League of Legends already in the first season, at that time he played on North American servers from Poland. As the best jungler League of Legends says himself, it has been his main pastime since the first season. League of Legends for best jungler League of Legends remained just a pastime until 2013. Eventually, thanks to his high position on soloq, he was noticed by the founders of his first team. We are talking about Team Mistral.
Jankos began his e-sports career by playing for Team Mistral for a few months, and then he joined GF-Gaming. Best jungler League of Legends achieved his first major success later that year, when he won DreamHack Bucharest 2013, by which time he was already with H2K. Jankos' next e-sports organization was Kiedyś Miałem Team, shortly after its promotion to the LCS was acquired by Team Roccat.
The five Poles were doomed, no one believed the promotion of Kiedyś Miałem Team to the LCS. However, contrary to everyone's expectations, they defeated NIP, and many sponsorship offers flowed to the players. In 2014, best jungler League of Legends made his first appearance in the LEC (then European LCS). Even then, Jankos stood out with his skills above his teammates. His activity earned him the nickname "First Blood King."
Under the Roccat banner, Jankos played in the European LCS until 2015. Despite not the worst form of the squad in 2014 (they took 3rd and 4th place) 2015 was going worse. The squad was not fully Polish, so the owners started experimenting with foreign players. Roccat was left with the best jungler League of Legends and his fellow countryman Vander. Despite the efforts of both men, the team finished 8th and 5th.
The year 2016 Jankos played in the jersey of H2K. A better lineup allowed the best jungler League of Legends to spread his wings. He showed the opponents his aggressive style of play. The team took 4th and 3rd, respectively in the LCS. However, more importantly, it got to Worlds. As it turned out later - this was the beginning of Jankos' permanent participation at Worlds.
Even though H2K was not the favorite to get out of the group H2K and the best jungler League of Legends surprised everyone. They got out of the group and even made it to the semifinals. Only there they succumbed to the Korean team - Samsung Galaxy.
Lol Jankos decided to stay with H2K for a year longer, together with Odoamne they formed the permanent core of the team. Unfortunately, the new lineup did not live up to expectations, despite Jankos' efforts the team finished 5th and 4th. This is Jankos' last season in H2K and his last year out of G2 Esports.
Here are the best ways to rank up in League of Legends. Do you know them before?
Jankos at G2 Esports - Europe's best team
At this point in Jankos' life, the best stage of his career begins. G2 Esports' first season was one of the heavier ones. The team's management relied on three talented players, Jankos, Wunder, and Perkz, and two slightly inferior ones, Hjarnan and Wadid. Thanks to the efforts of the entire team and the best jungler League of Legends, G2 Esports took second place in the LCS, and then they went to Worlds. Again, Jankos ended the season in the semifinals, unfortunately, the squad from China - Invictus Gaming proved to be better. The main reason for the defeat of the European organization was botlane.
2019 was the best year of Jankos' career, and at the same time for the European e-sports scene. G2 Esports made two extremely important transfers. Hjarnan and Wadid were replaced by Caps and Mikyx. The young, promising midlaner and the best support available blended in perfectly with g2 Esports. As a result, the best jungler League of Legends won the spring season in LEC (name changed from LCS). Lol Jankos got to the "mini world championship" This is, of course, about MSI held between splits. G2 Esports became the first team outside of China or Korea to win this tournament. Jankos was hailed as the best jungler League of Legends!
The summer split in LEC went as well as the previous one. G2 Esports dominated their rivals, and won the split and the playoffs. Thus, they got to Worlds. The team was at the peak of its form. Each player looked great in his position. Jankos dominated their opponents. In the quarterfinals they easily won against Damwon Gaming, then in the semifinals, they defeated the Korean team - t1. This was quite an achievement for the western team. Unfortunately, G2 Esports' great season came to an end at the finals. FPX dominated them in the final, winning 3-0.

G2 Esports' unsuccessful roaster
In 2020, Jankos was expected to enter a new level of its skills. Rekkles, regarded as Europe's best ADC, joined the team. This squad was hailed as a "superstar team." In the history of League of Legends esports, no team with only superstars on its roster has lived up to the expectations of everyone around it. Unfortunately, it was the same with G2 Esports in 2020. Although they initially dominated the spring split, they started losing in the summer split. Their failures were caused by several factors. First, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the best jungler League of Legends to play matches online rather than from the studio. In the case of G2, this did not work well. Additionally, the meta changed to not favor G2 Esports. The last reason was other teams that increased their level, such as Mad Lions.
The bad streak continued in 2021. G2, despite the few matches played at a satisfactory level, did not win a single European championship title. Worse, they didn't even get to MSI or Worlds. This is by far the worst year for Jankos since the beginning of his adventure with G2 Esports. As he says - the team lacked enthusiasm for playing and winning, and the strong characters of individual players worsened their communication and chemistry.
In 2022, G2 welcomed three new players to its ranks. Broken Blade entered the top lane, Flakked plays as ADC, and Targamas sits in the support position! After the roster changes, Jankos is once again reigning supreme in Europe, and will soon take part in World's 2022!

Read about the speculation about Ronaldo and Messi ending their careers, is this the end of an era of soccer?
2022 Lol Worlds Play-in
The first stage of Lol Worlds 2022 is the Play-in tournament. Twelve teams will face each other in the Lol Worlds play-in. Those that finished bottom in the main regions and the champions from the smaller regions of the League of Legends post-professional competition. The groups at Lol Worlds were drawn after the American LCS finals. At Worlds 2022 are two groups of 6 teams in each group. The top 4 teams from the League of Legends World Championship Play-in tournament will get into the next stage, with one team per group in the next stage of Lol Worlds.
This year, the rules had to be gently bent. This was caused by the armed conflict in Ukraine, and because of it, the Russian league (LCL) in March this year was suspended indefinitely. Because of this, the place in Lol Worlds, which would normally have been assigned to the best team from Russia, had to be given to someone else. It stood in Europe, which is why we will see two European teams in the Lol World's Play-in tournament: Fnatic and Mad Lions. For the first time in the history of League of Legends World Championships, two teams from the same region will be allowed in one group on Lol Worlds. The previous rule was that the group draw could not result in two teams from the same region in one group on Lol Worlds. The League of Legends Play-in tournament will begin on September 29 in Mexico City.
The Valorant World Championship will take place right after Worlds 2022, you can read about it HERE.
Here are the groups in the Play-in tournament:
Group A - Fnatic, Beyond Gaming, DetonatioN FocusMe, Evil Geniuses, LOUD, Chiefs Esports Club
Group B - DRX, Royal Never Give Up, Saigon Buffalo, MAD Lions, Istanbul Wildcats, Isurus
The draw of this year's groups on Lol Worlds has left viewers with no possible excitement. Although Fnatic and Evil Geniuses are the clear favorites at Play-in Tournament in Group A, the other teams may B at Lol Worlds that are definitely more filled with equal competition. Here you will find teams that in surprise their rivals. The play of DFM and Beyond Gaming should be watched closely. However, it is Group previous years always started Lol Worlds from the second stage of the tournament.
League of Legends World Championship regulars like Royal Never Give Up, who would like to reach for the League of Legends championship trophy finally, ended up here. In addition, MAD Lions and Saigon Buffalo certainly don't intend to leave America before the start of the second stage of Lol Worlds. After all, MAD reigned supreme in Europe not so long ago, and Saigon picked up further matches from G2 at MSI.Do you like MOBA games? Here's a list of the top 10 heroes in Dota 2.

Groups for World's 2022 League of Legends
Of course, the groups for the second phase of Worlds 2022 have also been drawn. Here, too, 12 teams emerge to provide spectators with top-notch entertainment, with all the players waiting for the remaining 4 teams to join to begin to play in the League of Legends World Championship. It must be said that this year's group phase of Worlds 2022 looks fascinating.
Group A - Cloud 9, T1, EDward Gaming
Group B - JD Gaming, G2 Esports, DWG KIA
Group C - Rogue, Top Esports, GAM Esports
Group D - Gen.G, CBTC Flying Oyster, 100 Thieves
Do you like this year's groups at the League of Legends Worlds Championship? They are definitely divided into harder to predict and more accessible. While Group D on the League of Legends World Championship should be easier to expect, the other three may be much harder. All experts in professional League of Legends games point to groups A and B as the ones where the matches will be the most evenly matched. All teams can beat the others, plus most of them have a track record of winning against the other regions. Even Cloud 9 may surprise at least one team, due to not the best form of their eastern rivals.

We'll find out on October 7, because that's when the group stage of the League of Legends World Championship will begin!

Fans of League of Legends are well aware that this popular MOBA game frequently receives new patches. These updates sometimes introduce new champions, new skins of the characters, changes to the game's balance, new abilities and much more. Riot Games, the game’s publisher, has decided that patches should appear once every two weeks, usually in the middle of the week. They are often tested in the LoL public beta environment (PBE) some two weeks before they are officially released.
Patches for LoL are always a major part of the game. Sometimes the next League of Legends patch can introduce major new events (e.g., during the holidays) and new content, while some other patches might focus more on a basic set of changes or new buffs and nerfs, slightly altering how the game is played. That's why it's worth knowing when a new LoL patch will come out.

League of Legends Update Schedule for 2022
Riot Games has released the League of Legends update schedule for 2022. In this article, you will find the dates of all League of Legends updates that have come out or will come out in 2022 for the upcoming season. You can learn more about them on the official League of Legends patch notes website.
The update schedule:
- League of Legends patch 12.19 – Wednesday, October 5, 2022
- League of Legends patch 12.20 – Wednesday, October 19, 2022
- League of Legends patch 12.21 – Wednesday, November 2, 2022
- League of Legends patch 12.22 – Wednesday, November 16, 2022
- League of Legends patch 12.23 – Wednesday, December 7, 2022
There may be changes to these dates. If the date changes, Riot will inform players at least 48 hours before the new update date. You can also find news about these changes on our blog, so follow this space closely!
What is the latest patch for LoL?
As of this writing, we are on patch 12.17 of League of Legends. There have been many changes introduced in this patch. In particular, Miss Fortune, Hecarim and Maokai have been changed, gained some new abilities and powerful builds have been cast. Some say that this patch is for professional players—just in time before the World Championships.
What’s the next patch for League of Legends?
According to the upcoming League patch notes and the official game Twitter, four champions will be boosted, six more will be nerfed. 12.18 will be the last patch that will change how the heroes are played before the upcoming World Championships. According to the PBE patch notes the changes will be rather minor.
Maokai will be slightly reworked, to encourage more people picking this character, with Hecarim, Kayn and Nocturne receiving some slight nerfs. Ashe and the blind monk Lee Sin will be boosted. Luckily, many mainstays in the LoL, like Sylas, will be left unchanged. When is the upcoming League patch coming out? On the first day of autumn in the northern hemisphere - September 21.
Release time
League of Legends does not have a specific fixed update time. Depending on the size of the patch and server load, patches come out mid-week, usually on Wednesday. This is also the time for the beta: LoL PBE update.
Server maintenance ends at 6 AM EST, which is more or less when the patch goes out. This is not official data, but new changes appear around 6-9 AM EST.

Why do patches have to be updated every two weeks
Due to the number of balance issues and constant changes in the game, patches are almost always updated every two weeks. This allows Riot Games to quickly make changes when needed to make the game interesting and not make it too predictable. The next League patch always tends to be controversial within the community.
With the beta test, on the PBE server, player-testers can try out all the upcoming changes, new skins and other system changes, even before the update is officially released. If problems arise, the LoL PBE update could be delayed by a day or two.

For sure almost every gamer has his favorite character to play. It requires special skills, some tactical sense and huge patience to get the title of the best player. There are some people who have achieved this - who exactly they are? Do you know them? We are introducing Sylas – famous LoL’s character – and the best Sylas players in the world and Europe.
But first – who is Sylas from League of Legends?
In the world of league of legend Sylas was born as a mage, and, unfortunately, had a really tough childhood due to his special abilities. You may feel compassion for him – he couldn't choose his fate. He was a part of the kingdom's magicseekers, so he was hunting for people with similar skills.
Suddenly, the accident happened and Sylas inadvertently killed three people, therefore he was sentenced for life imprisonment.

During hard years in prison, he was chained in handcuffs that blocked his magic. However, he has an unconscious helper – Lux. On the day of his execution, he touched her and used her magic to set himself free.
Since this day, he is a lead Damacia villain – hiding in the mountains, seeking for magic of the elements and preparing for the great revenge for Damacia’s oppressive system. He has a really dramatic and quite poetic biography, doesn't he?
Should we be surprised at his motives?

Riot Games regularly adds new and unique skins to LoL. Did you know that there are currently more than 1,300 of them? Each skin series has its supporters and opponents. However, some of them are favored by the majority of players. We present you a list of the 5 best skins in League of Legends.
Best League of Legends skins - the list!
Before we present you the best skins that look great in LoL we want to tell you about something. Did you know that each LoL skin series in depicts a different League of Legends world? For example - the High Noon series of skins depicts a world straight out of a western movie, where the battle between angels and demons takes place. It's worth a look, alternative universes in League of Legends are really fascinating!
High Noon Lucian and Senna - best pair of League of Legends skins
We will start our list of the best League of Legends skins with the pair of lovers from the world we wrote about above. Just like in the main universe of League of Legends, in the world of High Noon the pair of shooters are madly in love with each other. Senna joined the alternate universe in 2020 as an angel, while cowboy Lucian has been available to players since 2018. Both League of Legends skins cost only 1820 Riot points!
Elementalist Lux
From the bot lane, we move to the middle lane. Definitely, one of the better made League of Legends skins for the middle avenue is elementalist lux. Its distinctive, unique mechanics make this LoL skin extremely popular among players. Apart from the amazing quality of the heroine's skill effects and the great character model, players loved elementalist lux because it has as many as 10 alternative styles. Attacking enemies as Lux, the player accumulates energy with which he can cross forms. You can change form as many as twice during a match! However, along with the uniqueness of the LoL skin, its price increases; you have to pay 3250 riot points for Elementalist Lux!

God fist Lee Sin
There is no other jungler in League of Legends as iconic as Lee Sin, so he could not be missing from this list. Although the blind monk has as many as 13 skins, God Fist is the best of them all, in our opinion. Its splash art is unique, the artist responsible for it must have really made an effort. However, this is not the most important thing, after all, the longest time a player sees a LoL skin is in the game, not during the loading screen. However, God Fist Lee Sin's in-game appearance is equally outstanding! Its well-executed applications, combined with a detailed character model, make playing the blind monk a pleasure. The detailed execution of this skin is worth noting. Q's animation depends on the distance at which you cast the skill, and the super skill has three completely different animations! In addition, the LoL skin is not extremely expensive - it costs only 1820 Riot Points!
Do you like to play Lee Sin in jungle? Then check out our article about the best junglers in League of Legends, which one will be your favorite?
God-King Garen - great LoL skin for toplaners
We've already covered every position a player can choose on Summoner's Rift except Top Lane! Again, there is no more distinctive character in League of Legends than Garen! The warrior who fights in the top lane behind Demacia has as many as 12 skins, which doesn't make things any easier when choosing the best one. However, when we go through the whole list the choice must be one; God-King Garen. Thanks to advanced animations (such as his dancing or returning to the base), playing with this skin is incredibly pleasing to the eye. In addition, the Lore of this skin is interesting, we recommend checking it out! We must admit, this is the most expensive skin for Garen of all the League of Legends skins. It costs 1820 riot points, when the others cost a maximum of 1350 riot points. However, comparing the quality of the LoL skins workmanship, it's worth adding those few hundred riot points!

This is the end of our list of the top 5 best League of Legends skins. As you can see, their quality is great, unfortunately, the price is not among the lowest. Therefore, at the end of the article we have a great way for you to get them for free! Check out our BestPoints app and get League of Legends skins for free!
