New characters, maps, patches, episodes and seasons. In Apex, a popular online game in battle – royale style, we can find something fresh too. We talk about Newcastle. Who is he?
Newcastle – original character with interesting history
What we know about Apex Legends Season 13 Newcastle – the new character? There is an interesting story behind him.
Jackson Williams was one of the best soldiers in IMC during the war. But in fact, he recognized that he is that “bad guy” on the dark side of the conflict. That’s why he just deserted, left his sister and took the new name: Lamont Craig.
He got married, had kids, and was a good, normal father that lives in peace in Harris Valley. Everything was calm and safe – thanks to local knight Newcastle.
However, Newcastle did a bad thing – he sold the town to pay off his debts. Merchants came, but Newcastle died, killed by the members of Forgotten Families. Lamont Craig saw it by chance. He defeats them, but there are many more to come.
So Lamont Craig took Newcastle’s armor and impersonated him, trying to get to the Apex Games. Winning money, he could pay off the debts. But this is really risky – he can be recognized by his sister as Jackson Williams.

[post_content] =>What are the best guns in Apex Legends? Season 14 didn’t bring any radical shift—but brought back some old classics. The new tweaks and patches rebalanced the old patterns, and so some of the guns now have an entirely different place in the Apex Tier List of guns. In this article, we’ll explain the best guns tier list in Apex Legends and why the current weapons are on this list!
God Tier
Bocek Bow, R-301, R-99, Kraber
A—Tier
Peacekeeper, Sentinel, Volt, CAR SMG,Spitfire
B—Tier
Rampage, G7 Scout, Re-45
The rest of Apex weapons can be placed below B-Tier, in our opinion… but of course many pro gamers decide to go it alone and can be brutally effective using Repeater or Charge Rifle!
Kraber - Care Package
This sniper rifle is one of the favorite weapons of the new character, Vantage, and in her hands it’s the best Apex gun around. It can instantly kill any Legend with a headshot—as long as you find it in an air drop, or kill the character who had it. Even if you don't kill an opponent outright, you'll probably scatter their shields. Characters are now extremely vulnerable to attack from your allies.
However, as is the case with sniper rifles in games, accuracy and long range are offset by low rate of fire and number of bullets. The secret to mastering this weapon is precision and experience. Good players can catch enemies quickly, preferably in combination with teammates. If you like playing snipers, it’s probably top in our Apex tier list… but otherwise, you might have problems!
Bocek Bow – Care Package
Bocek is an unusual weapon – you either love it or hate it. With Vantage arriving in Apex Legends Season 14, the best guns must rely heavily on good aim. It’s hard to practice with the bow, but it’s very accurate, fast and deals high damage. In Season 14 it has been updated with more damage and speed – but of course, being a bow it uses Mythic Arrows and can’t equip other ammo.
As befits a bow, it’s also almost completely silent – which can give you an extra shot or two when ambushing enemies… provided that they don’t ambush you when you finally get that Care Package!
R-301 Carbine
Almost always, the ranking of the best weapons in Apex Legends has been dominated by this assault rifle. The R-301 Carbine is one of the more basic weapons that is always available in Apex games, and no wonder it dominates all the rankings. It is an amazing all-rounder with numerous shooting modes and good at both short and long range.
Mods like the Extended Light Mag and the Barrel Stabilizer have helped many players make it to the final circle with this Apex gun. Fortunately for many players, not much has changed in season 14 as far as the 301 is concerned – although many have announced a nerf.
C. A. R. SMG
In terms of weapons, Season 14 of Apex Legends has meant that the CAR SMG no longer has the option to add additions to the barrel and has become slightly less accurate. However it’s still one of the best Apex guns and it still packs a good punch. While it may be more difficult to hit the target, your bullets will still do a significant amount of damage with a perfect rate of fire.
The biggest advantage of the CAR SMG, however, is that you can switch between using light and heavy ammunition, so you'll never run out of bullets.
R-99 submachine gun
The R-99 may not be as powerful as the CAR, but it is much more common. It's easy to find in caches, and is much more deadly than a shotgun at close range. It can use an entire 20-round magazine in more than a second. But don't hesitate to pick up this Apex Gun. Often it's something you'll run into early on, and a strong shot can put an opponent with rudimentary shields out of the game.
Of course, the disadvantage of the R-99 is also that it gobbles up ammunition extremely quickly. However, if you can find an attachment with a large magazine, you will quickly defeat the enemy and take what they have found. And when you run out of cartridges, replace the R-99 with an EVA-8 or Volt shotgun - also some of the better guns on our Apex tier list!

These are only a few of the best guns in Apex Legends. You can customize them and get skins for these thanks to our free app. Just by watching ads, you can earn some points to spend on various cosmetic enhancements for some of these best Apex Legends guns around!

Its launch attracted more people to the game than ever before. On August 10, the number of players on Steam rose to more than 510,000 people active at the same time. In reality, many more than those half a million people may have played Apex, but we don't have access to such data from Origin. After all, Apex Legends is also available on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch consoles.
What's new with this patch, and how has it affected the game experience in this shooter? You can read more on Apex Season 14 patch notes on the official game site, but below we have prepared a short list of major changes!
Apex Season - New legend!
With the “Hunted” season, a new heroine, Vantage the sniper, was introduced to the game. As shown in the Apex patch notes, her ultimate allows her to scan enemies, and also increases the damage dealt by her and her allies. This character also comes with a cute pet—a bat named Echo, which can come in handy in battle when tracking targets.
The young woman's real name is Xiomara “Mara” Contreras, and she hails from the ice planet Págos – where her mother taught her how to fight and shoot. However, many fans believe that—thanks to her pet—she is simply a variation of Bloodhound. The differences will come up as she becomes more popular.
Raised level cap… sort of
In the newest Apex Legends update, the level cap was raised from 500 to 2,000 which will certainly help professional players. However, it’s only an effective cap, just like in Titanfall games: once we reach the maximum level, we can reset our level and start the game once again – with more prestige and advancement. Each subsequent reset will change our background color under the counter. What's more, you can get more Apex Packs—instead of 200, the limit will go up by 345.
Return to Kings Canyon
There are also changes to the Kings Canyon map—if you remember season 5, it was when the Skull City exploded. Now we return to the Canyon, revamped and remade. Some connections between locations have disappeared from the map (for example, the cave thanks to which we could get from the marketplace to the middle of the river. This makes the gameplay far smoother and the points of appearance of teams more predictable. New buildings appeared and the long-destroyed ones returned, and of course the map became more colorful.
BattlePass
The game also featured access to BattlePass, like in other MMO games. BattlePass for Season 14 contains one hundred rewards. Users can unlock skins for popular characters simply by playing and completing missions related to the season's theme. Here the system favors the paying users, but free users will also find something for themselves.
Patches, changes, and game balance
There are also updates to the game's balance, as it happens with every Apex Legends patch. A new mod are laser sights that increase the accuracy of shots from the hip. Items like the Longbow, Volt Mozambique and a couple of other weapons previously unavailable have returned to the rotation. The Spitfire uses light ammunition from now on.
Since the new character is a sniper, the accuracy of some weapons has been improved and changed. For example, thanks to major rebalancing, we hope that more players will use the L-STAR weapon.
Healing and circle of death
The big change, however, is the disabling of self-recovery. From now on, we have to wait for a teammate to heal us… which might not always be possible. We also have to get better shields to heal our allies more effectively. However, Newcastle now heals better, which makes this character more likely to be popular.
Many players also note that the circle of death closes a little slower but deals more damage—this could be an interesting change for many tactical players.
Changes in Season 14
Many players are quite skeptical about these changes—the new character is very similar to the existing ones, the map is exciting but is a refreshed old reliable. On the other hand, the level cap is a great suggestion that will significantly extend the life of this game. As with many other game updates, it will be automatically downloaded – and you’ll learn how to use it yourself.

You can learn more about changes in Apex Legens from our post about changes in the recent update. Visit it and read which guns have been boosted and which got nerfed!
These are only a few of the best guns in Apex Legends. You can customize them and get skins for these thanks to our free app. Just by watching ads, you can earn some points to spend on various cosmetic enhancements for some of these best Apex Legends guns around!
