Counter Strike 1.1 on the Inferno map in CS:GO
The Inferno map is certainly familiar to all CS:GO players. It is one of the most popular maps on which to play ranked matches. So you are familiar with the room, in the corridor located between the Counterterroists' spawn point and bombsite A? Players call this corridor the "speedway". One of CS:GO easter eggs is in a room whose door is slightly ajar, in such a way that the player cannot enter it. Inside is a computer; it is this computer, or more precisely its monitor, that is the interesting CS:GO easter eggs. The computer is turned off, but not always! There is exactly a 1.8% chance that its monitor will start displaying the menu of the old version of Counter Strike, or more precisely, the 1.1 we all know.
There is a way to bypass the low chance of the menu displaying. Of course, this requires firing up the game's console and then typing the following commands into it:
- sv_cheasts 1,
- ent_fire instanceauto166-monitor.tanningsalon light : ent_fire instanceauto166-monitor.counterstrike enable.
This is how the CS:GO easter eggs will fire up for you every time! DO you want to get better on CS:GO? Check out here our 3 tips for CS:GO players!
Reference to the esport match on Overpass
Many players love to exploit all the bugs and glitches they manage to spot in the game. This is how you can easily, but not quite legally, gain an advantage over your opponent. As it turned out during Dreamhack Winter 2014, professional players also love to exploit glitches. During the quarterfinals of this tournament, in which LDLC and Fnatic faced each other, the latter team came up with an interesting tactic. LDLC was leading by a score of 12-3, then Fnatic's players used a glitch that allowed them to climb on the textures and then see through them.
Thanks to this they won 16-13. Unfortunately for the winners, the tournament organizers decided to repeat the match, on this news Fnatic surrendered the match by walkover. This is where CS:GO easter eggs come in. Immediately after the tournament ended, Valve blocked the former climbing path, and left a sign in its place with the words "Geländer übersteigen verboten", which in German means "Climbing over railings is prohibited."
German graffiti group in CS:GO
Once again we will describe CS:GO easter eggs that are located on the overpass map. This time the location of the reference is on the wall between Bombsite B and T Spawn. On the wall, you will find "OneUp" graffiti. This is a reference to a popular group originating from Germany that does graffiti painting in many public places around the world. They call themselves the "1UP Crew," and they document their work on the Internet. The reference is even better because the entire Overpass map is located in Germany, more specifically in Berlin!

Inscriptions on the walls in the Dust and Dust 2 maps
Let's move on from Germany to warmer climates. Some of the most popular maps in CS:GO, Dust and Dust 2 are located in the Middle East. On their walls are CS:GO easter eggs. They feature some interesting inscriptions that are incomprehensible to the vast majority of people. As it turns out, all of them are written in Persian. On Dust near Bombsite A, there is an inscription that means "CS Source is fun", another one, but this time located on Dust 2 not far from Bombsite B means "Fragtastic ''. However, by far the most interesting of all inscriptions are on T Spawn on the Dust 2 map, it means "Freeman was here" which is a direct reference to the popular game created by valve - Half-life.
