Clash II is a sequel to the Polish tactical strategy game from the 1990s. This title, however, seems to be more inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic and Warlords, transporting players to a fictional, history-rich setting on the brink of war. Players will explore the magical continent of Karkhan some fifty years after the events of the original, fighting on the side of one of two factions. The game is expected to give plenty of options, including technological or magical development.

Release: October 4 (Early Access)

Overwatch is one of the most popular hero shooters, so it's no wonder millions are waiting for the sequel. The number of players per team will be reduced, there will be new modes – including story mode! What's more, the game will be available for free, unlike most new games! 2022 sequel to Overwatch instead of relying on loot boxes, will move to a battle pass model and the ability to purchase skins. The game will feature new characters, the storyline will also involve the Second Omnic Uprising – so fans of lore are also looking forward to the release!

High on Life

Something for fans of Rick and Morty's adult humor. After a pretty warm reception to Trover Saves the Universe, Justin Roiland is back with a brand new comic adventure titled High on Life. Imagine that Earth has been invaded by a space drug cartel that treats humans as drugs—so a typical high school graduate grabs a firearm.... Only, the firearm has a face and can talk. Yup, that’s Justin Roiland alright.

Harvestella

Release: November 4

Square Enix is known for its epic RPGs…. but this time it presents a life sim game in the style of Harvest Moon or My Life in Portia. We will be involved in farming, fishing, dungeons and more…. but there will also be a dark season called Quietus. Going outdoors is dangerous for people and causes vegetation to dry up and die. Eventually, we will have to go on a mission to fight it and visit several cities. Very few other games coming out in 2022 can combine epic RPGs like Final Fantasy and cute Animal Crossing vibes!

Pokémon Scarlet/Violet
Platforms: Nintendo Switch
Release: November 18

As usual, a pair of new Pokémon games await. Scarlet and Violet will feature a truly open world. It will be set in Spanish and Mediterranean locations and will introduce the Gen 9 Pokédex. As in previous installments, there will be variants of existing Pokémon and a gem-like Terastal Effect allowing you to change Pokémon types during battle.

Wartales

One part strategy, one part turn-based RPG. Wartales takes us to a grim universe inspired by the Middle Ages…. only that the Black Death has been replaced by a zombie apocalypse. In Wartales, you play as a leader of a group of mercenaries, with whom you can travel the world, fight enemies and parlay various activities. A robust combat system and new characters to discover welcome all old-school RPG fans.

The Plucky Squire

The Plucky Squire is an action adventure game based on an unusual idea - while playing, we explore both 2D levels styled like an illustrated children's book and 3D maps located in a child's room. Since the Fallout series went 3d, there’s been a niche waiting for an isometric old-school tactical RPG with turn-based combat. This one is also inspired by the Mad Max movie series, set in a post-apocalyptic Australia, and the choices we make shape the protagonist's moral compass, which affects available perks and conversation. The hand-drawn graphics makes the post-apocalyptic world look stunning. Some creators of the original 2D Fallout games have worked on Broken Roads, and the old-school gamers are sure to fall in love with this indie title.
